- PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Business Analytics Graduate Certificate consists of four courses(12 credit hours)
Through this program, you will gain a strong foundation in the analytical methods, techniques and tools essential for data-driven decision making. Business analytics will be explored through case studies using real-world data to help you gain a broader perspective on the applications of data analytics.
You may earn the graduate certificate in business analytics as a standalone credential, or while being enrolled in the MBA or an M.S. degree program in business, through elective courses. Earning the certificate while in a business master’s degree program gives you an additional focus in analytics, which employers cite as an asset for managerial roles.
Demand for business analytics professionals is expected to rise by as much as 25% in the next 10 years, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

- Courses Information
The overarching goal of the Graduate Certificate Program in Business Analytics is to provide students with a strong foundation in analytical methods, techniques, and tools and train them to apply their analytical skills in making informed data-driven decisions.
Students learn skills to acquire and manage real business data from various sources and prepare and visualize the data into compelling charts and dashboards to communicate patterns, trends, and findings.
The program emphasizes the application of advanced analytical modeling to analyze massive structured and/or unstructured data and create business insights.

This course is designed to give students comprehensive analytical skills.The need for historic and predictive analytics in the health care industry will be examined.Health care data from multiple sources will be integrated, manipulated, aggregated, and filtered.Students will experience dashboard software, and use both predictive models and automated processes to advance data examination and interpretation.

CIS 6300 Business Data Management
This course teaches Business Data Management, including relational database design, management, administration, implementation, data security, and data migration.It covers Big Data and NoSQL databases, and students may use tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and business intelligence/development tools.

CIS 6500 Visual Analytics
This course introduces data visualization, exploratory data analysis, and visualization theories.Students will learn visualization techniques to analyze real-time and/or off-line data, create high-impact visualizations, and build interactive dashboards to uncover critical business insights.Students will also learn to design data stories with effective visuals to communicate analytics findings to the intended audiences.

CIS 6640 Predictive Analytics and Data Mining
This course provides students with an understanding of analytical techniques from business analytics, business intelligence and data mining to make practical business predictions and other data-driven decisions.
Students will learn a variety of techniques to perform predictive and other forms of analytics, including data preparation, classification, prediction, clustering, regression, association, cross validation, performance evaluation, anomaly detection, etc. Practical real life data (numeric and text) will be analyzed.

- 證照介紹
英國國際會計師公會 The Association of International Accountants，簡稱（AIA），是一個國際性會計師資格認證權威機構。英國公司法令所承認的六大 RQB 之一，亦是英國會計團體獲得的最高認證單位之一。
AIA 是一證雙師（會計師、審計師）的榮譽代表，得到歐盟、亞洲、美洲等許多國家和地區的認可。為了讓台灣的學員可以接受高品質的英國專業與教育課程，中碩於 2012 年底向英國總部提出申請，獲得台灣考試點及課程授予的許可，並與上海立信會計學院/美都教育聯手合作，開辦 AIA 全日制課程、ABP 課程及 AIA 國際會計師公會專業資格證照課程。
除了方便台灣的學員直接在台灣學習相關財務會計的專業科目之外，也提供台灣的學員 1-2 年在中國上海就讀，1-2 年至英國留學的難得學習機會；除了學員能及早調適進入國際課程所需的語言與環境上的適應能力，也能節省費用，畢業後即具備專業與語言的專長，讓您進入職場後更有國際競爭力。
- 課程架構
已取得財務會計相關之專業證書或專科以上相關科系畢業之學員，或已通過台灣會計師高考取得成績者，最多可獲抵 12 門科目，節省學員時間與花費，快速獲得 AIA（The Association of International Accountants）英國國際註冊會計師專業證書。
AIA 第一階段
提供了會計框架結構和其在實際商務環境中的應用，其中包括經濟學和法令環境中的應用。並介紹了成本會計、審計及稅法的基礎知識，是 AIA 所有專業課程的基礎和準備。全部考試通過後可獲得 AIA 財會資格證書（AIA Examinations Certificate in Accounting）。
AIA 第二階段
課程的設置將更貼近實際工作，更多管理的元素被融入到此階段中。通過這些課程的學習，將可全面提升學員在實際的管理工作和實際商務環境中所遇到的複雜問題。眾所周知，商務中的英明決策依賴於財務資訊的表現，所以管理信息也將在專業階段 1 的課程中有所涉及。全部考試通過後可以獲得 AIA 財會高級證書（AIA Examinations Advanced Diploma in Accounting）相當於國內的大專文憑。同時還可以銜接英國 8 所大學，攻讀 1 年後考試通過可以獲得金融管理類學士學位，並可繼續申請碩士課程，1 年後考試通過可以獲得碩士學位。
AIA 第三階段
高級財務會計理論在一體化和全球化的商務環境中的運用將有充分的體現。分析的技巧將被要求為高級管理決策提供精確無誤的數據及資訊。財務會計、商務管理、高級審計將為您成為一位具有超凡能力和專家級的高級財會人員提供綜合知識和技能。通過最後階段的全部考試後，可以獲得 AIA 專業證書（AIA Professional Examinations）。即可直接申請國外多所大學的 MBA 課程，獲得國外大學的工商管理碩士學位。
獲取 AIA 專業証書後的 AIA 學生會員，累計或已達到 3 年以上財務相關（包括審計、稅務、財務管理等）工作經驗，即可申請成為 AAIA 會員，享有英國及歐盟 28 個國家，財務報告簽字權。
